2018 Canadian Mahjong Championships
To promote healthy mahjong and select finalists to participate in the 2nd WMSG, 2018 Canadian Mahjong Championships will be held from May 19 to May 21 in the GTA, Ontario.

Competition Rules: MCR-Mahjong Competition Rules and SBR-Sichuan Bloody Rules, certified by MIL-Mahjong International League
Awards:
1. MCR: 1) The Champion, the 1st runner up and the 3rd place, trophies are provided; 2) Name of the Champion will be engraved onto the CMF Home of Champions; 3) Highest single session match points; 4) Highest single hand points; 5) Top players may be able to participate in the 2nd WMSG.
2. SBR: 1) The Champion, the 1st runner up and the 3rd place, trophies are provided; 2) Name of the Champion will be engraved onto the CMF Home of Champions; 3) Highest single session match points; 4) Top players may be able to participate in the 2nd WMSG.
3.Organization Awards: include Group Award and Individual Award

Schedule 1: May 19 and May 20 - MCR
Tournament format: A total of 7 sessions. Match-ups for the 1st session will be random and will be according to the ranking from the second session onwards "strong against strong"
Allotted time for each session: 120 minutes. When the allotted time runs out, players still in play are allowed to finish the current hand, but cannot start a new hand.

Qualifications for participation: have a good knowledge of the Competition Rules and promote healthy mahjong
Registration Deadline: May 10, 2018
Registration fee: Include lunches and afternoon snacks
Early Bird - register by April 30: MCR-$30, SBR-$15
Between May 1 to May 10: MCR-$40, SBR-$20
The registration fee should be paid by May 15.
Players from outside of GTA Ontario are free to attend.
All registered players are eligible to free join in CMF Mahjong activities prior to the competition.
