2019 Canadian Mahjong Championships
To promote healthy mahjong and select finalists to participate in the 2nd WMSG, 2019 Canadian Mahjong Championships will be held from May 18 to May 20 in the GTA, Ontario.

Venue: 250 Consumers Road Unit #102, North York, ON M2J 4V6
Competition Rules: MCR-Mahjong Competition Rules, certified by MIL-Mahjong International League
Competition Awards: 1) The Champion, the 1st runner up and the 2nd runner up; 2) Name of the Champion will be engraved onto the CMF Home of Champions; 3) Highest single session match points; 4) Highest single hand points; 5) the Qualification of participating the 2nd WMSG.
Organization Awards: include Group Award and Individual Award
Tournament Format: There are 10 sessions totally. Randomly players’ table arrangement in the 1st session; Serpentine-system from the 2nd to the 4th session; Swiss-system from the 5th to the 10th session. After the 8th session, only top 8 players are qualified for the final rankings from 1 to 8. After the 9th session, only top 4 players are qualified for the final rankings from 1 to 4.
Allotted time for each session: 120 minutes. When the allotted time runs out, players still in play are allowed to finish the current hand, but cannot start a new hand.
MCR Level Certification: CMF members will obtain certain MCR Level after completing 10 sessions

Qualifications for participation: have a good knowledge of the Competition Rules and promote healthy mahjong
Registration Deadline: May 10, 2019
Registration Fees: $50, including three-day lunches and afternoon snacks; $10 off for CMF VIP members.
The registration fee should be paid by May 15.
Players from outside of GTA Ontario are free to attend.
